Kevin Barr

Head of Digital Cash and TS Innovation BNY Mellon

Kevin Barr serves as Head of Digital Cash and Innovation within BNYM Treasury Services. In these roles,Kevin’s primary focus is the development of Real-Time, 24/7 clearing and cash management capabilitiesacross traditional and digital infrastructure, aswell as engagement with the Digital Asset, VentureCapital, and FinTech space. In addition, Kevin leads industry engagement with working groups on CBDCsfrom a payments perspective.

Prior to his current role, Kevin worked in Treasury Services Strategy and Relationship Management,focused on the 5-year business strategy, sales strategy, and segment growth initiatives. Kevin alsoserved as a strategist in the Fintech Strategy and Partnerships team, as well as holding multiple roles incorporate strategy, transformation, pricing, and sales.

Kevin joined BNY Mellon in 2011, with a B.S. in Economics and a minor in business from The Ohio StateUniversity in Columbus, OH.He has served as BNY Mellon’s representative on the Mobility Group for the Pittsburgh DowntownPartnership and is a member of the BNY Mellon WIN, PRISM, and VetNet groups.Kevin was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He enjoys golfing, reading, and playing music.
