Michael Rangel

In her role as Chief Risk & Compliance Officer at Nymbus, Michelle leads the teams administering the Risk, Compliance, Fraud, Vendor Risk, and Information Security functions for the company. She's passionate about partnering with banks and credit unions to bring innovative and compliant solutions to market, but also changing the narrative of these traditional oversight functions across fintech and the broader financial services industry from cost centers to strategic differentiators. Prior to joining Nymbus, Michelle was the Vice President of Compliance and later Vice President of Risk Management at a $1B credit union in the Midwest. She also worked as a senior regulatory compliance consultant for RSM US LLLP. Michelle began her career in banking while in pursuit of her undergraduate degree in Accounting. She holds a JD from the University of Iowa College of Law and is licensed to practice in the state of Iowa. Michelle has been with Nymbus since 2020 and maintains active NCCO, NCRM, and CRCM compliance certifications.
